i believe so. i know there was talk when the whole hossa issue was big. i think they said he'd play in europe for like 3-5 years or so then come back. but don't quote me.

this is something that was talked about during the time when we were trying to sign hossa it was like a back up plan. obviously jagr asked for way to much money 15m for 2 years it would be dumb to sign someone 37 at the time for 2 years at 15m especially when jagr probably wouldnt play out his contract because he is a bitch like that.

last year pens had an offer they were thinking about giving him then they decided not to do that. probably because he is old and pretty much washed up. just think about it its not tough 15 million for 2 years on a 40 year old or 5 million for 2 years on 3 players that are under the age of 25...

i know he is in europe now playing for a pro team there and is still a member of the Czech team.

my favorite players playing right now are probably Lidstrom, Chelios, and Sundin (GO CANUCKS!!!!!)....

ryan: very true. i'd rather keep the young blood around than have jagr back anyday. thats like brining lemieux and yzerman out of retirement...yeah they WERE good, but not like todays stars.

greg: gahh sundin..so glad he left toronto!! my faves playing right now: talbot, crosby, and comrie. but my friend just got drafted to the NHL...christian hanson (leafs) so he holds a special place w. me right now!

i spar (or whore my body as a punching bag) out to three different guys....  one is a light heavyweight, one is a heavyweight, and the other is a welterweight who moved up from lightweight....

so yeah...  one of the dudes i spar with.

Hudler got his clock cleaned and returned in the 2nd. Lidstrom scored two goals, the game winner was a 5-hole goal on his own rebound. The game was pretty evenly matched. Anaheim's Getzlaf-Perry-Ryan line was dominant again. The goals were all pretty good. Wings won 3-2

Yeah the call on Bieksa blew the game for us. Easily the worst call of the playoffs so far. Should've been goalie interference the other way...

Anyway I have to go wait for Dustin Byfuglien at the airport and make sure he doesn't get on the plane. Or, yknow, ever walk again.

lemieux was like 6'7 or 6'9 with skates on he could handle the puck and score on anyone, thats domination.. get off of google.

Wow call the cops detroit just got fucking robbed. If that ref had one more eye he would be a cyclops. Jesus christ. I dont understand how that isnt reviewable, if they reviewed it it would have gone into overtime. The puck was across the line before the whistle blew. Even if it was 0.0001 of a second it is clearly over.
Fuck this shit.
Who ever wins this series is winning the cup though, no doubt.

Wings got hosed. That whistle was unbelievable. Cost us the game. And brad stuart gets 2minutes for playing good ol hockey, leading to a ducks PPG. fucking interference give me a break.

Him and Lindros just had heightened skills beyond what anyone else had.

But, I think Crosby has that, along with Gretzky's level head, and unseen explosiveness and grit.

The wizard of Croz is on top. (Tonight's game, anyone?)

If Crosby has 20 seasons at 100pts, he'll at least break the 2000 mark. Personally, I think it's doable.

Gretzky had a different game to work with, and points aren't always the best comparison.

Look at Mike Bossy. Not many points, but if you listen to people talk about him, he would've given Alexandra Ovech-sucking a standard to try to match. And Bossy was a real sniper, not like Alexandra, who's gotta take a bazillion shots every game.
