Im sure many others are thinking the same thing. can we please quit with a couple of things? the ridiculously overdone alias' made just to get a rise out of people (lindsayjbber, fluxx, steezyvageezy maynot be one but he is dick just like a regular alias, etc).

also, can we be done with the threads on polarizing indivdual issues? if there really needs to be an acidic debate on religion every day, how about just make a "lets pummel each other over religion" cult.

i mean, NS is interesting cause you can post whatever you want, but i think its being taken over the top now. its aggravating to have every thread jacked into a thread about how crazy religious people are, or how stupid obama is, or any other stupid issue that someone wants to bring up just to argue (women competing, meat, religion, politics).

summer is just getting started, we wont survive if this pace is kept up.

i think the whole point of the argument is to get a rise, like the thread stated, and if people didnt quote stupid things, and didnt have such an angry trigger finger, and people took a step back to see if they REALLY need to call someone out on that lame comment, then they should atleast do it in a normal way. not cursing and attacking them on random things, totally irrelevant to the thread. this would be a lot better in the summer.

i think that idea would work, but i hope someone doesnt need to play teacher and actually make this, because that will show how pathetic some people here really are. but if it needs to be done, then it needs to be done.

i understand that NS will always be back and forth banter, if you watch closely i too am addicted to doing that. im saying legitimate threads are being ruined by worthless arguing. this is something that is new. i may have just joined within a year ago, but i have been reading daily since 04 or so.

and dont misunderstand me. my idea is not remove the hot topics for the sake of calm, im just saying that no one bothers discussing them peacefully, or productively anymore. for example, think of one of the most polarizing members on the site, drew. how often does he comment in political threads anymore? not at the same level he used to. i imagine its because he probably feels like he is not getting very far by posting. thats the problem.

this is kinda the problem. this place did at one time have less mayhem. i dont think many of the members now can understand the idea of "less" mayhem. believe me, i love the jokes, thread bombs, etc as much as anybody else, probably more. this is the internet, which is wild, i understand. this is a skiing or skiing culture website though, not 4chan.

i dont see the big deal about it. This is what happens when a shitty thread is made. You read the title, click it, realize its stupid, press back and go to another thread. One thing i like about NS is how every day theres a new thread. Makes it so its not boring. And i dont think anyone's noticed but all the shitty threads will die after a few days, and the good ones stick around.

Its not always about the topic of the thread. Its about the posts as well. I enjoy a hilarious reply just as much as a good thread. And no offense, you really think its gonna change? I know that cults are made and no one goes in them unless its ladies man (at least for me.)
