THE CANYONS IN UTAH HAS NOT BEEN KNOWN FOR THEIR PARK SCENE. BUT NOW THINGS ARE CHANGING.

RECENTLY THEY BUILT AN 80FT STEP DOWN W/ A LOG JIB.

FOLLOWING THAT IS A 100FT KICKER.

IF YOUR IN TOWN YOU SHOULD MAKE THIS ONE OF UR STOPS.

That looks like a super big kicker for a relatively small gap...

its not really a big kicker.. its like a ledge with a tree jib sticking out the end. then on the sides are 2 cut ups to hit the thing as a table.

i dont understand how that log is even jibbable.
It looks like it is about 2 feet lower than the jump and 5 feet long.
maybe it just isnt shaped completely.

That transition looks super sketch....but I am interested to see what the 100 footer looks like.  The Can has stepped it up a lot, but most of their jumps seem to be sketchy still...

Is that thing a joke? My god thats rediculous.  It'll look pretty sick on film but that step down is really not worth the risk.  If they ever decide to open that up to the public, someone will surely just about die on that thing, even if they scale it down.  In an interview Jacob pointed out that parks don't understand the risks of building a 30 foot step down compared to the risk of a 60 table (less risk of injury on the table than the step down), and this is a prime example even if they do scale it down for the public.  Even for the pros, a 65 foot step down is just plain stupid.  Props for trying something new, I just think this ones a real bad idea.

WOW those top ones look retarded. The landing looks like its going to be the hardest thing in the world to hit (over and under shoot central) with those low angle high speed wedges. I can't beleive how high those wedges are compared to the groomer and does that log even have a point. IMO they are horribly built. The hundered footer looks way nicer with the jump and landing matching much better, landing does look a little short but way easier to hit. Anyways hopefully the shoot goes well and there are no injuries for the riders.

some one had already posted these in the utah regionals.

and to whoever said PC lost their park crew to the canyons...? I have been to the canyons a few times this year and it is fun, dont get me wrong, but it still had nothing on PC

NONE of pc park crew came to canyons, some of brightons did, their old park manager steve did.  The landings are wayyyyyyyy better than they look. im headed up today, il see if i can take more pictures, and hopefully get a little video of people actually hitting it.  the 100 footers landing rolls out super far.  its actually a pretty big landing compared to what that picture shows. and there is no way it is 65 feet vertical on the step down.  it looks about 30 feet vertical and maybe 60 feet long.  big, but definitely hittable.  hopefully pictures and video and more info coming tonight.  I heard that Nitro, snowboarder magazine and rage films are all shooting on this thing. They were building more stuff up top too.

what i heard today from steve was that the step down will not be open to the public, but everything else they are building will be on THURSDAY.  I have pictures i will post later, but up top they have a gap to the 17 stair rail, then a giant log swing, then jump to the top of a 8 foot high flat down box gap out, gigantic tree bonk, the step down, then the table at the end.  pictures coming...and thursday is the day.
