Fuck that, it is inevitable that 'rollerblade style' will influence skiing, either directly or not. People are going to start doing different things because they get bored, which include (gasp) one-footed 'rollerblade' jibs. It's called progression, it happens, we want it to happen, otherwise our sport will get stale and die.

one footers and 50-50s are ok, but those X-grinds and edgegrinds look awfull I think, they shouldn't be done.

I'm down with whatever is new, different, and more difficult than whatever you just did the last time...I don't know if that's the same for everybody else though. I posted a pic of my good buddy doing what he calls a soul (or is it sole, I don't know rollerblading) grind, and the only feedback I got was a bunch of jerkoffs hatin on him because his skis aren't 90 degrees perpendicular to the fuckin rail. Personally, if I saw somebody doin' X grinds or whatever, I'd be impressed that they're doing something more than just a regular grind. Check out the pic 'Rob's rail variation' or something like that in the pics section, and hopefully quit hatin on him.

x grinds are dumb. onefooted stuff is super tech and can be made to look steezy if done well. chriton does some nasty 50-50s.

naw man....i say keep rollerblading in it...the sports are close enough for tricks, so its kool to see people to progress, and if that means using rollerblade tricks then so be it....

once you can do 270 up to 450 then do it unnatural on rails, then switch, then switch unntty, and same for off.
one your done all those combo; go put a line sould grind playe on your skis, and the majority of people 'might' take you seruosly.
i have no idea how you can get bored and end up teying, X up grinds.... wtf?

kev, in case you haven't noticed, it doesn't matter how many spins you can throw on and off a rail and whether you can do it unnatural or not, it still looks like the same fucking trick. Not saying that it is not respectable, but for variety it just doesn't do much.

i think 5050 is cool...altho its funny when u do a rail 5050 and some kid in the park is like 'u suck, cant you do it sideways?' i had that happen b4. i think torque (slide front foot, grab back) looks sweet on rainbows...royale (opposite of torque) not as much. straigh one footers are ok. nose and tail presses are the shit. i wanna see a switch 5050
