What the hell is the media edition? Can anyone tell me what it is? What's the difference between the media and the regular home/pro?

its not better for video editing, it sucks.

Most of the advanced functions of XP pro were taken out, and replaced by the ability to watch and record TV on your computer. WHo the hell cares?

its actually pretty sick. definatley good for video editing, also:
has a dvr (like tivo)
makes your computer also a tv
has a remote control
has videro output
has high quality audio output

its no 'better' for video editing then pro is, and in the long run youll be better off with pro.

But, if you have 3 macs, why are you buying a PC for video editing?

I never said i was getting it for graphical use, that would be retarded. Im getting it more for coding, like html and junk, it's easier for me to do that stuff on PCs. It's just this pc im looking at comes with the Media Center Edition of XP and I want to know what it is before I tell them to just load it with Pro.

I don't know how an operating system can allow you to watch TV, that's what a TV card and software does. You will still need a TV card, most likely many of the OEM machines bundled with XP media also have a TV card.
