Anyone shipped things internationally? advise please!

i do not advise that.
shipping to 'stores', 'relatives in africas' or 'military officials stations overseas' is always sketchy.

but then I was like well he did all ready offer a price that, after I checking shipping calculations, would cover the extra.

The only thing I don't know about is... when you print off a shipping label and what not does that take care of customs or are there other hoops to jump through?

There are usually different customs forms for whomever you use to ship.

is there anyone that has done a transaction like this? using paypal as the cover to not get screwed?

I just don't want there to be a loop hole that I didn't know about until after we do this transaction and he jacks my stuff and then some how gets his money back through paypal.............. i'd pretty much cry if something like that happened.

I'm selling my xbox elite with 5 games and a wireless adapter.

I think I'm just going to take this sale really slow and if he drops off after a couple of days I'll know he was just trying to screw me... I'll make the transaction talk just drag out for a long time. I think that will weed out an a-hole trying to scam me. I've done a lot of ebay stuff just not to much where I wasn't a 100% ok with the buyer.

thanks... I was trying to control my urge to just do this deal so I could pay off my credit card and be out of debt.... I get paid $420 a month so a chance to get a little extra cash and get out of debt got me excited.

i just actually sold my ps2 with a ton of shit on ebay today, and i foolishly put my email on the auction page and i got about ten different people wanting to buy it from foreign countries.
if you do what your saying and just try to talk to them for a couple of days, they eventually just give up and stop responding to emails.

Don't let your skepticism get the best of you.  I am sure it is completely fine.  Being cautious is always good, but I sell to international buyers all the time. I've sent jackets to Chile, Iran, China, Turkey, the Philippines (no joke, an insulated jacket...)  If you are really concerned about it, just tell him you've seen some bad experiences before and will be happy to ship to him once you have the money in your account and transferred to your bank account.  With PayPal. there is really no way he can get his money back unless the box arrives busted.  Just make sure you package it really well.  The reason he is willing to pay so much is because in most countries we would consider poor a lot of the "new" technology is unbelievably expensive, and the US dollar is terrible right now. So I am betting he is offering you way less than he could get it for there.  Hope that eases your tension a bit there.  Sell it to him and make the money.

Hmmm...be careful. I have heard of a lot of different scams from Nigeria. For some reason, I can't seem to picture Nigerians skiing or snowboarding. Do they have snow there even?
