are these any good for skiing? thinking of buying a pair and im getting sick of the stupid bud ones so yea any suggestions?

I love mine, they fit nice over a hat, or even under a helmet. They have decent sound, and are an overall good headphone.

i like the icons. they're comfortable and have good sound quality, but the cord is rediculously long and gets caught on shit if you don't put the cord through your shirt.  i have 2 pairs of icons, and one pair of icon 2s and with each pair the left speaker stops working.

yurrp, i got a pair, very disappoint with sound quality. they are only useful for use whilst skiing, not even on the lift they wreak any good tune they will....

you talkin about the kind of earcups on icon 2s? if by any chance you are, its just a little bit of leather around the rim and the rest, the part that sits against your ear, is just some weird silk that doesn't even stay in place while wearing a beanie

I like earbuds better. When I used my icons they looked steezy, but they slipped off my head and I would always have to put them back on. Which gets irritating after a while. Ear buds stay in your ear the entire time unless you take a nasty fall and in my opinion, you can hear your music alot better.

If you take the foam piece from the icon 1 and put in on the icon 2 it stays on pretty well
even though they are good for skiing they are kinda shit quality, iv broken 3 pairs of them

Hey, some people have money, some don't. Listening to good music with a good pair of headphones or earbuds is great. You get to hear the vast range of noise that the studio has slaved over, and you can hear your favorite song at the same time,  just better. With a good pair of headphones, you hear the best treble, and the deepest bass. I have a pair of Monster Beats by Dr. Dre (the Tours) and they sound amazing, 10x better than the iPod ear-buds I was using. I would never bring them on the mountain, but for train rides and plane flights, or just riding the bus they are great. Some people are content with Icons, and that's fine, it's all about personal preference. I love listening to music, I do it all the time, so I don't mind shelling out some money to get a good experience on something that I enjoy.
