Yo guys, just share some NS love for him

2 weeks ago (Christmas) he felt super weak so they rushed him to the hospital. Found out he was anemic and pumped 5 pints of blood into him, and diagnosed him with leukemia.

He started chemo a few days ago and was in a lot of pain.

Today his lung collapsed and wasnt able to breathe, but fortunately they responded quick and were able to blow it back up.

Anyways, just thought id pass the word. keep him in your thoughts.

Its hard hearing stuff like this, even though i dont know him i can only wish him the best and that in the end he comes out strong and ready to live a fulfilling life

funny story from that day:

ne ways i couldnt do any jumps or rails(doctors orders and i felt they were justified) so i tried a nollie 180(forgetting i had lost 40 lbs) and needless to say i barely flexed my skis and totally ate it. i was fine but my friends freaked out and made me take a break. i got a laugh out of it even though i could have gotten a cerebral hem-or-edge(bad sp.) or something...nice day out tho

i had a 3 week gap in my treatment so i was basically back to normal for about 2 weeks..minus any muscle strength and having lost 30 pounds.

anyways in that break i got to ride my bike(my platelets had just gotten high enough so i wouldnt die if i got a scrape or bruise) and it was sick

i started back up on friday and ive started to get weaker and weaker since then but i dont get any more for 10 days so ill try and beef up until then

hey there kids

i have a big gap in chemo and so may 5-13 i will be in beautiful CO taking the trip my mom and I were supposed to take in january. the plan was (since i am still pretty weak) to go there and lay pretty low and drive around and basically not do anything very demanding, but over the last 2 days miracle after miracle has happened and 1 I have been feeling great and 2 my best friend from NY(MNeffy) is flying out to meet me there, and 3 my aunt has gotten us super cheap passes at a-basin, vail and keystone, and 4 my local shop(thank you Sports Creel) has hooked me up with nu skis, boots, bindings, a travel bag and 2 ski bags to bring with us and i will finally be able to take the trip my mom and i planned to take months ago plus 3 full days of spring skiing.

moral of the story is my local shop rocks and if u are at any of the 3 mts in that time span PM me and well try and meet up

I just got my seasons pass and i have doctor's full approval to do anything i want skiing this winter! this will be my first full ski season in 2 years and i am stoked!

Final update: Getting my last treatment now, thanks for all the support guys it has been a long 3.5 years, knee replacements are in the distant future but for now I am back to normal for the most part and glad to still be here!
