i kind of ripped the hammers from a pro skateboarder. When this pro named Jim Greco does something gnarly, like switch flip carlesbad, then it's refered to as a hammer.

they might chip, but i put a whole bunch of marine spar varnish over the paint job, which will hopefully make them more durable.

and yeah, i know i ripped that shit from skating, but i skate a lot, and i'm just giving grecs props.

to very literally define the term, hammers are generally the 'ender-ender' tricks of a person's segment. All the super gnarly slow-mo tricks at the end of someone's skate segment in a video are their hammers.
