how would you guys clearly define 'popping' off jumps? ive been talking to people about this, and is has become a debate...so yea

using your legs to jump into the air instead of letting the jump take you or absorbing it. in some cultures taking it means your gay and giving it is still ok. so always give it. to stay on safe side.

naw, i don't think 'pop' is simply jumping off the lip, theres more to it than that.
you have to jump in relation to the pitch of the jump but not directly up.

yea you cant jump off the lip, it would make you look all funny, mess up your airsense, and probably not kmake the landing. popping is just hrowing your weight upwards

Yes, I agree, I just started freestyling, and at first, I didn't find popping necessay, as I wasn't doing anything but 180's. But if you wanna go bigger and get some grabs, you have to 'pop' it is very difficult to explain, but when you do it, you'll be able to feel that it was a pop.

it more like extendding your legs,

popping is using your leg as soon as you are about to leave the ground to get your whole body in the momentum of a trick. you wont 'pop' the same way as you would if you are doing a 180.

by the way, olliing is (in skiing) sonmething else.
ollie can be used when having to jump over an obstacle that is too high or abrrut for a simple pop. example, urban rails with small jumps.

when i ollie i like to use my skis flex...kinda like a j-hop on a bike...like leanind back a lil like a manuel then just bringing my legs up....kinda difficult to explain

i think of it as jumping a little and trying to put your weight forward to offset the jump so you don't backseat and so you have control

Popping is just jumping when you get to the lip.

I think a six stack would be 6 skateboards stacked on their sides. I could be wrong though.
