Where to start?

Last year skiing i will be the first to admit, i sucked. Though it was my first year I should have been better but I didn't see it as a problem at the time. Then I joined NS and everything changed.... I all of a sudden wanted to learn all the sweet tricks and it motivated me to get good. I am starting my skiing for this year over xmas break and I want to start right off the bat working to get good. So basically my question is where should I start?

Notes: I want to get good at rails (cuz they look fun)
            My goal is to nail the 360 this year, maybe more
          other then that, i'd be happy if i can get these two things

start small, slowly get out of your comfort zone more and more and you start to improve. don't think you can get out there and start blasting over 40+ foot jumps right away or pull out crazy shit. just take it slow, be safe and enjoy the process

set your goals high.
i would bet that you could stomp a 270 off and land at least 5s after your first season.
unless you only get like 10 days in....

first: i would recommend just straight airing all the jumps and doing 90 on 90 off for rails the first few days
second: try to get the hang of spinning a little in the air, do some 180s on smaller jumps and maybe try a 270 off of a flat rail or box
third: step up a little, try a couple big 180s and maybe some smaller 360s, as well as some more advanced rails and tricks on smaller rails
fourth: get 360s down, and from there, you can go anywhere. i promise. start doing some pretzels and stuff on bigger rails

basically, just work your way up until you get to the first set of goals, but keep in mind that you will blow by those way faster than you expect. from there, you can progress in anyway you feel is good.
