Chest injuries?

has any one had any experience with chest injuries?
i caught up on a down rail the other day and flew and landed face first pretty much knocked the air out of me lol
ive even got a scar on my face now haha
but the thing is my chest and shoulders didnt really start hurting as much as they do now since like 6 hours ago. It didnt really hurt as much as now as to when i was driving home the day i did it.
am i going to die?

it hurts to cough a little and i cant bend my body left or right all the way without pain

its probably a bruised sternum or rib which from my experience takes a long time to heal and its frustrating because theres nothing you can really do to speed up the healing process. i've got a bruised collarbone right now and cant play hockey.

Landed heavy on my shoulder a couple of years ago, took a fair few hours before i could breath properly and move off the sofa. And it'll take a long time to heal.

Deffo get it checked out

i would say bruised or broken ribs if it hurts to cough and move

i would go get it checked out just in case because there are some pretty important organs under all that just in case you did some damage to them...i doubt you did, but it would still be good to get it checked out.

keep us posted, i wanna know what it ends up being if you do go get it checked out.

Thanks for all the replies i couldnt even get up to go to school today (PE)
Most of the pain is on my left hand side of my lower chest area
sleeping is fucking an impossible task pretty much
im gettin it checked out tomorow ill hit this thread up once i find out whats going on

a couple years ago i was doing a front flip at water ramps and over rotated to my stomach. my ribs still hurt sometimes

hahah so it actualy turns out that i ruptured my splein, literaly just got back from the hospital after sitting there for a couple of days, thank god i didnt need surgery. Would of gotten a tube shuved up my dick and my splein taken out which would suck cus they are actualy kind of important
atleast 6 more weeks of not skiing now......

naa the pain i was feeling in my chest/shoulder is actualy blood in my body lingering around from cutting my spleen open last week
im all hoped up on pain killas now tho so im straight brah ahaha

i slipped out of a rail while learning 270's on and i bent myself over the rail. i bruised my rib and pissed blood cuz it hit my kidney too.

From the sounds of things you either cracked or bruised a rib. This happened to me a few weeks ago in hockey, got hit into the post. Anyways the pain was gone in about 2 weeks. So you will be fine.

haha oh yeah i totally forgot, i met one nurse there like right when i got there that hella skis, she was trying to explain "steeze" to all these doctors and was telling me how she just bought some rossi s6's and how they are hella dope skis
pretty funny, she kept going on about how all the kids in utah dont know shit about steeze compared to the people around tahoe bahaha
