What else do I need? Importing footage from an HV20 to a Mac...
Im having a bit of trouble importing footage from my Canon HV20 to my Powerbook G4. I looked around google a little bit and i didn't really get a clear answer. The apples head cult takes forever to get a reply and i need something pretty quick. Im running mac osx 10.4.11.
I do not have iLife currently on my mac, but i have imovie. Should i get FCP?
as far as i know i think i movie only supports sd(standard definition)
if u need finalcut ill look on my comp and see if i still have a .dmg for it
Do i need to upgrade my operating system?
naw just get an importer that does hd
i'm pretty sure the newest version of imovie supports HD
Parkboy: If you don't want to take the prescription meds, you can try out this herb called St. Johns Wort.
Rainbow*Stylin: i think you spelled marijuana wrong
I have iMovie 3...
so should i get iLife 08 and then ill be good to go?
the new imovie, is actually called iMovie HD. So yea, i think that'll work
progressing the sport for the sake of progressing
it says i need ILife 08 to install this. any links for this one haha?
this is why you shouldnt have bought a mac
I bought the Powerbook G4 over the summer and i knew it had outdated software and i would eventually upgrade once i got more money. just because the computer is older and doesn't have iLife 08 and leopard doesn't mean its a shitty computer. Macs are rediculously easy to work with and it STILL runs smooth after being used for 3-4 years. Still fast, still better than a PC.
i'd say go with torrents, and either search for imovie hd or final cut pro..
otherwise, i think you may be boned
