It doesnt matter on this day of November the 26th I installed mac osx leopard 10.5.4 on my dell and then put parralells on it so now i get the best of both worlds.
haha yeah rob is right, dell is one step about the processing system that ATARI used. i used to have a dell notebook, biggest waste of money ever. thankfully i'm posting this comment from my macbook.
Mac for sure, the entire mac OS is more stable than a windows OS. And my computer at home which is a PC can barely run photoshop, and in all ways is it more powerful than the macs i use in school (the desktops before the recent ones), but the macs in school allow me to run photoshop, illustrator, and firefox at the same time.
i own a macbook and a pc desktop and i love them both...
honestly im the oppisite
i love my macbook for general web browsing downloading music and such playing WoW on the road...
but then i LLOOOOVVVEEE my pc for editing, photoshopping, beat making all that jazzz....just so much more power on a desktop 4gb of ram and 1 TB harddrive :) can't remember my exact processor but its a dual core...only thing left to do is upgrade the graphics card and i'll be able to run games on that bitch till 2043
I have a MacBook and I love it. I dont have to worry about viruses like I would if I had a PC. Not to mention it is so much faster and the graphics are amazing! I have parralles to upload onto my computer so I can have a PC desktop and programs but it is incrediably hard to upload. I've had my computer for about 6 monthes now and I still dont have it on my computer but besides that I love my MacBook.
I've used both windows and mac (being that they're both technically pc) and I usually found that I like pc's interface and os better. I feel like I can adjust it more to suit my needs better with it. I don't generally have a problem with macs though, mostly their users being inane and pretentious douche bags is the main problem.
ah well, anytime you feel like testing whether or not the hearsay that macs don't get viruses is true or false, i'm here to help. that goes for anyone else who think macs don't get viruses as well, i can spread the love.
Your argument makes no sense. Of course a mac will get a virus if you send it one. But so will any type of computer. They simply don't contract viruses at random like certain pcs tend to do.
It's as if I were to tell you, I've never eaten an apple. Then you force an apple down my throat. Of course I'll have eaten an apple, but it doesn't mean that I have ever eaten an apple in the past or that I will in the future.
PCs do not get viruses at random. I have had ONE virus in my entire life, i've been using PCs since before i can remember. It's the retarded users who click on viruses that give PCs a bad rep.
"OMGZ look free home theater i want! *clickity click* oh noes i gots a virusss!!! i should have bought a mac instead!!"
On my mac i can sail the vast seas of all the porn in the world all i want without worrying about hords or money crazy looting pirates raiding my ship and taking command.
i run windows. i have 4gb of ram, 2.6ghz dual processors and a bombin video card which also has a gb of ram to itself.
im so sick of everyone saying mac is just better no matter what. i honestly hate the layout of macs for the time i tried it. maybe i just didnt get used to it but really the performance is not determined by what operating system you have.
cept vista takes up a lot of ram just to make it look pretty and glossy
I have been a PC user all my life up until last week, when I bought the new macbook. So far I am in love with my mac. Runs much smoother than my previous computers ever have, much more user friendly layout, not as prone to viruses... etc. I prefer macs much more, dont think im ever going back.
i think the only advantage macs have over pc is that the macbooks are pretty durable laptops compared to other pc based. and the screen looks really nice. thats all mac has going for itself, looks and statement. having a mac means you can fork out 1500 for a sleek piece of metal. and no one really wants to admit that.
but there are also instances where macs have exclusive programs (like Logic) that people need.
But hey, buy one and you'll be the hot shit.
I study design, and my PC shits all over the macs here, runs faster, and will run faster for the next 5 years. Oh what's that? You want to upgrade? throw it out. Oh what, you'd like to play games? aw sorry man.
