ok so i have handbrake but i have no clue how to use it. i have dvds that i want to put into my computer and eventually get on my ipod video much help is needed
handbrake is easy.
open it. put the dvd in the computer. click source...click on the dvd...determine what format you want from the toolbar on the right side of the handbrake screen. If you want IPOD click IPOD large typically. Now you have to determine where you want to save it. Not too tough. Now if you want to rip DVDs to burn dvds you will use mactheripper. That gives you video_ts and audio_ts files which are used to burn the dvd in a program such as toast. You cant watch them. Mactheripper just gives backups
Bumping this thread, I'm trying to get some of my ski movies onto my ipod. I've downloaded every option for Handbrake and for whatever reason it refuses to open. I click to open it, it shows up in my toolbar, then disappears. I'm checking out mactheripper but I don't think that it's really the program that I want. any suggestions?
bump - how about a pc? i need to rip some of my protected dvds to make copies for my place, my girls place, etc. ya know? i've found some programs out there, but they all cost some loot. anyone have a solid/free ripper/burner program they would suggest? any suggestions would be appreciated.
