Replacing my trusty RED HiFi of 4 years becasue there is a slight crack in the topshell that, well.... isnt in the part of the helmet that does the protecting but its still not good. also, its got THall and CRs autographs on it and i dont want to wear those off. im looking at Bern helmets just because i tried them on once and they were incredibly comfortable. which is better? should i go back and buy another RED HiFi or should i go buy a Bern Baker helmet?
i really like my bern macon, it's comfortable and won't make you look like a bubble head. check em out for sure. i'm actually putting one up for sale in a while.. brand new, so check my threads in a few minutes.
"... french girls say oui... spanish girls say aaay papi"
the bern usually a totally different material then (most) other helmets. its called brock foam or something and it lets the air and moisture out, alot more comfortarble i've found. i dont know what the level of protection is though.
In the bern helmets that use brock foam (the squishy stuff) they do not meet standards for helmets so they are called hard hats, however they also have a helmets with zip mold technology that does meet the standards
my helmets have to stand up to trees, hardpack, and maybe ice. cause, with how expensive skis are im not going to be doing kinks while im in college and can barely afford to replace my boots on their own... there is no way i can afford skis at this time.
