i'm gonna try half and half red bull and water in my camelbak and see how it works.....i forgot about a multitool, i've helped more than a couple snowboarders fix their bindings and such - karma points, u know?

duct tape that might be a nice addition

Anyways, what packs you guys got too?

I'm gonna have the LINE slope pack with:

- Shovel
- Camera, maybe tripod
- Foods
- Maybe spare gloves
- Probe
- toilet paper (for blood and... yeah)
- Mini tool
- Bandaids
- Film / Batteries

And when hiking, my skis will be on the back :D

Beacon worn always doesnt do crap in your pack.
The batts go for quite a while

I hope all you smartasses who carry their mobile phones on them in the BC know that if your mobile is turned on when you're buried, it interferes with the signal from your beacon and makes it nearly useless.

In my pack:
Shovel, water, food, wallet, sunglasses, camera.
I don't have avie education yet, so I don't carry a beacon and don't go out of bounds. Shovel is strictly for kicker building/shaping. And how come all you backcountry kids haven't mentionned carrying a probe yet? Oh, I forgot, you 'pretend' to spend time skiing real backcountry.

I carry a shovel, probe, cliff bars, extra base layers,Tranceiver (if I am not out of bounds, and wearing it already),xtra gogles/gloves, water, first aid kit. And maybe some party favors if you know what im sayin.

Heres the thing I have practised searched my beacon a million times and the signal is not being affected by my cell. How can it be that the person buried is only affected? Ive heard this before but never once have I had anything go worng in a sreach. Ok that said never had to dig anyone out over a 1m of snow.

Ok, people I know it's cool to be safe in the back-country, but seriously, I you have ever been heli-skiing or real back-country skiing, you should know that you never carry your peep in your backpack, it should on your person at all times, cause how do you know that in a bad slide your packl will stay with you.
