Zune broken - help/ warranty?

my zune 4 is frozen on the albums category list, the back light is not on, touching any button will not make anything happen, no its not on hold.

what should i do? i tried resetting it no dice.

i plugged it into my computer and it makes the noise like its plugged in and zune software opens but the zune icon that is usually blakc when it is plugged in is white as if its not plugged in, yet i can drag music to it like its plugged in.

can anyone with any info on this help me out?

please dont say go buy an ipod because I owned 4 different ones which all broke and the last one broke too and warranty ran out so i sadi fucckkk it.

if it's still under warranty, call them up or submit a repair on their website.

if not, check zuneboards.net, they always know whats up

word of warning, when my zune was fucked it took a good 4 calls, each nearing 30 to 45 minutes, to finally get them to send me a new one. I ended up yelling at the guy, telling him I was no computer idiot and yes I had done all the shit he wanted me to... 5 times... and demanding to speak to a higher up.

hate to say it, but its complete shit compared to apple. i had a zune, it blew, i always had to ask the indian guy to repeat his self(no offense to indians) so he could tell me to unplug it then plug it back in. they are awful compared to apple, who sent me a box when my ipod mini broke mulitple times. and replaced it free, paid for shipping, all no questions asked.

yea i know but the thing is ipods brreak a shit load. thats why i got a zune because 4 minis were not reliable enough. but yea the warranty was great and quick with apple, until it ran out..

ya ut we all know minis broke wayyy more often than other ipods.

when i had my zune the only problems i had were someitmes the computer wouldnt pick up the signal, so i cant help ya out besides call microsoft, they might send a replacement. also a guess, can the harddrive freezing or something cause this?

yeah, word about the indian guy and all that. it's true. with my ipod they sent me a box to send it in and all I had to do was fill out an online form. I actually did this a few times, it broke a good amount.
for my one time with the zune, I had to find the number to call somewhere and then hassle with them forever. they're very persistent, definitely advised against letting you send it in. Once I finally got past that, they sent me a box and I got it fixed or replaced or something pretty easily. I've had the Zune for awhile now, I'm not even sure how long. It's the first one to come out. So yeah, in all that time only one breakage isn't bad actually.
