think of it this way:
if a girl can slide a down rail, you can slide a down rail. i know plenty of girls who can slide down rails. don't be less than a girl!

you don't need turpin to tell you what to do here. if you can slide a regular rail you can slide a down rail just give'er son!

if you can ride a flat rail easy, then chances are you'l ride the entire down rail and afterbang that shit wondering why u hadnt done it beforehand. seriously. thats how i felt after i decided to sack up and try it. just commit, look towards the end of the rail, and lean a little forward so you dont fall back.

Put a line of tape on your floor and practice a tone then step it up to a 2 foot long 4in peace of pvc pipe on your carpet with you shoes on(clean shoes duhh). also take an old sk8board deck and balance on that pipe every time you watch TV

its great warm up to for the winter and helps ya get in the matrix

dont be scasred of the down part. if you do, you will hold back, put your weight on your back foot to slow down, and then your feet will come out from under you. stay square to the rail, keet apart, weight on front foot, and look past the end of the rail. you should grease it no problem.

for all kind of rails , its all about confidence.
come in the rail whit 130% confidence .

if you are getting pushed out of the rail its because your weight is off.
maybe you dont pop enouf to land on top of the rail
maybe you dont distribute your weight properly on your feet, you should put a little more wait on your front huz its a down rail .

I actually went straight to the skateboard deck and pipe, except I used a 2 Litre bottle full of water instead if PVC and my skimboard instead of a skate deck. If you find balancing is too easy, you can try with your feet perpendicular to the rail, like the same position you would be in sliding a rail on skis. It's way more difficult to balance, but you have to have the toe/knee/nose alignment that you need while skiing, so it helps stance. also you can try jumping around on the skate deck, doing "switchups" and stuff which is pretty fun.

yeah i've done that its fun, i always do it while i'm on the phone.

i tried it with my ski boots on once and it was very hard/scary tho haha, i should work on that.
