i think its rediculous how so many kids my age pretend to know so much about politics and go around school repeating what their parents say. call me ignorant but im more concerned with havin fun

I agree, a lot of people to go around repeating what their parents say. I am a senior in HS know, so its a little different. but I see younger kids talking, and you know they havnt done any research for themselves, just immitating their parents

no. not until youre 18.  the responsibility to vote kicks in at your birthday.  just like you magically have the skills to drive a car at 16 and the selfcontrol to drink beer at 21.

when i asked my sister who she was going to vote for, she said " I dunno...who ever you vote for."
Shes 18.
Figure it out where you stand well before then, and get educated so you will be able to defend your stance when asked.

Yeah you can see that a lot but you get the parents opinions in a nything wether it has to do with polotics, buisness or even friendships are dictated at some level by parents.

But we also have kids at our school about year 9 and 10 that take an active interest in the election.

When I was 14,15 I knew what was happening in the election and was able to make an opion for myself.

It's usually the not as bright kids with the influential high rankin gparents that come with their parents views.

amen brotha! I am sick of the ignorant fucks voting for him because it is a "fad" or whatever.  Study all the candidates policies and figure which one suits you most. So many black kids at my school are going around with their obama face t-shirts at my school. It makes me mad, because more than half of them don't know any of his policies.

you shouldn't assume that other people are even half as ignorant as you. some kids would actually care to know what kind of role the government is playing in their lives. i know i did when i was 15.

I just got fed up with all these kids in Park City, who think being Lib is cool. So, I stay informed, watch teh newz, and go to school and make annoying kids look stupid. Pretty fun.

im 15, and do care about politics. I hope people who can vote make the right choices. The thing that pisses me off though is all these kids in my school who are running around saying "GO OBAMA!" and when I ask them to tell me one thing that Obama plans to do with his presidency, they can't tell me. That pisses me off.
