I scrape off the wax while still hot, but I think you can use Goo Gone, which you can get at hardware stores, works same as base cleaner, which usually costs more.
i tend to use a warm temp. wax. put it on the hot scrape it off. i do that about 3 times. then i put storage wax on if its the end of the season or put the wax on for the next day.
I'll hot scrape (i.e apply wax and scrape whilst the wax is still warm) unless i'm doing something like a base grind/restructure in which case i'll use citrus cleaner/base cleaner
I try to steer clear of base cleaner as much as possible though
i just hot waxed some dirt out of the bases of my brand new disorderlys. i took them for a sick lawn session they came back a little dirty haha
question... when you hot wax, is base prep a good wax to use? thats what i used, cause i had a lot and i couldn't think of anything else to use it for.
contractor's solvent. go to a hardware store and ask them. they'll look at you like, wtf are you talking about? then they'll find it and be like, oh shit, we have it.
That's foolish. Probably wont do anything but harm to your base's. P-tex is a sensitive material, similar to the skin on your face. Same pore structure. Citrus cleaner is regarded as best and the safest now. In fact nearly all base cleaner you buy is just citrus cleaner.
Back in the day they used a chemical, that was horrible shit. If you ever used it, you know what i mean. Got your shit clean as hell, but at the cost of your health. It was the same basic thing they use as dry cleaner solution.
But hot scraping is better for your day to day waxing needs any how.
