i'm 19 and i have never smoked before. i just don't want to have to rely on substance to have fun. i got drunk once just because the pressure was so much so i decided to do it once just to say i have done it and that i didnt like it. which i didnt.

I smoke a decent amount, i dont ever go to class high or shit like that but its a good way to just relax, and for those who don't want to theres nothing wrong with it, i would suggest at least trying it, and not just taking a hit but get high at least once in your life for the experience. I definitely don't think its a good drug for everyone but when you compare it to alcohol theres no reason it should be illegal. How many stoners go home and beat their girls, go around trying to pick fights, or crash their cars because their too high. Just my two cents.

Respect for kids that havent tried it. Its nothing great just something fun to do. Unfortunatley people that smoke are given bad names. ie stoners, pot heads etc.

My friends call me a pot head because i smoke but the funny thing is that I only do it on the weekends after I ski and usually only once on the weekends if not at all.

People need to learn that just because you smoke doesnt make you a pot head/stoner. It wouldnt take it in such a bad way if people called me that but the rep that the name has is what really makes it bad. Makes you feel like shit if someone calls you a pot head just because you smoke a few times a month. So to everyone that calls people pot heads, stop because its not cool to be a pot head. Nobody likes it when you call them that and its not something people think is a good thing so shut up and let it be. /rant

i'm 16. i tried ciggerrelos like 2-3 times in the summer. but their so fucking gay.  other then that. never smoked any thing else. and alot of my friends do. at school pretty much half my grade goes and smokes up at lunch. and im proud to say i dont

I'm 19 and i've never smoked weed before. I've had the opportunity plenty of times but I'm really just not interested in smoking anything. That being said, I'm still curious as to what it's like to be high so I might try it just to see what it feels like.

im 14 and im not planning on smoking anytime soon for these reasons.
1. a bunch of kids that have smoked before have told me its fun while your high but you feel shitty the next day.
2. my mom is a doctor and has seen people who have lost all their motivation and are now just peices of shit with no goals from mostly worse drugs and booze, but a low from weed.
3. one of my cousins started smoking in middle school, then got hooked on like meth or something bad because he just kept on trying worse drugs and now hes just getting out of rehab and lost like the last 3 years of his life trying to get clean.
4. if you get caught youre fucked
5. it can mess up youre rep

there you go, hate on it all you want

hes right about #4 though. people that start doing harder drugs in my opinion are idiots, same with people that let it affect their motivation. it happened to me last year and i pretty much failed all my classes except anatomy (go figure). if your going to do then know your limits and dont let it affect your life. its just something to do for fun with your friends

yeh what the fuck....weed isn't addictive. unless you pretend that it is. haha. read up on it before you start claiming that it is.
i've been smoking for almost 5 years and i've taken breaks with no problem.
granted some kids don't feel like they can function without taking a hit in the morning or whatever, but that's their choice.
NOT ADDICTIVE.

here are my counter arguments to your statment;
1. you dont feel shit the next day at all, weed mellows you out, doesnt make u feel bad.
2. you can control your usage of weed, yes some people overkill it and it fucks them up, but weed isnt adictive, if you have moral standards, you cant choose wether you want to smoke or not on any day.
3. your cuzin got hooked on meth because of the people he was around not because of weed
4. dont get caught
5. reps over rated

idk know man, ok I know this sounds hard to believe but Im being completely honest.

 Im 24 and have smoked essentially everyday since I was 18 or so (no it didnt affect my motivation, college grad, sick job)

anyways a couple of days ago my guy just disappeared (prob in jail and he prob deserves it too he sold some more fucked up shit as well).

 ok so like I said Im being dead serious here I really think Im going through some sort of a minor withdrawl. The last two days I have been staying up a lot later, havent been eating as much, like yesterday all I ate was breakfst and one piece of pizza all day and I couldnt eat anymore, and my stomach has been hurting. So i went to a pro-marijuana site and apparently all of these symptoms are signs of marijuana withdrawl. I'm not like craving weed tho,  so idk whats going on.

yea I know it sounds ridiculous but I really have no reason to lie, and up until a couple of days ago I would think its bullshit too

you will not become addicted. you will not die. the world will not end. your parents won't actually kill you and in all likelyhood, they'll only be "disappointed", which is code for "i don't give a shit, just don't get caught" if they find out. keep in mind, there are far worse things you could do than smoke weed- see my average weekend. just take a few hits and prove to yourself that it isn't THAT bad. seriously, it's NOT going to kill you.

I'm 22, never have.  I don't have any moral opposition to it or anything, and I think it should probably be legal, but I still wouldn't use it.  I just don't have any desire to.  The smell makes me super nauseous and gives me a really bad headache.  And I also would never even THINK about throwing my career away over something like that....that would be unbelievably stupid.
