I just got back from Florida where our wakeboarding/wakeskating trip didn't end too well. On the last day at OWC I screwed up a shuv-it off one of the kickers, did the splitz, and am about 99% sure I popped the ACL. I've stretched it before but this was much different. I got that distinct pop. I just got back to my house in Washington, and am going to the doc tomorrow morning, so I'll know for sure then.

It's right before ski season so I'm just really pissed and had to rant. I'm gonna be on this comp a lot now...Anyone else just hurt themselves and gonna miss some of the season?

that sucks man, i hope you recover quickly. but its better than what one of my buddies did. he broke his leg jumping off a curb ona  scooter, yes it is possible apparently. anyway hes missing like 2 months of the season and right nowhas a full leg cast and cant bend his knee..

My friend tore his ACL at football. It's shitty because he's the best kicker they have, and have had for a while, and his ski season is fucked because he's having surgery after the season ends.

Hope for the best but my guess is the pop was pretty much the end of you acl... i hope everything works out for you, my bf is freaking out because he tore his acl and he has to get surgery and hes missign the entire season...

Dude I've fucking been there too. A couple years ago I tore 2 tendons in my ankle....doing a tailwhip off a curb on a scooter and was out for a long ass time.

Yesssssssss! My ACL ended up not being torn! I just tore my MCL, which isn't as bad! No surgery!Booo ya bitches! I'll be skiing in a few months!

I run XC and by the time my XC season ends my ski season starts and I hurt so bad from running..talk about shin splints...But get better man...hopefully the doc. says that your all good

lucky u!!!!!!! any ways i tore mine well like in november last year but i didnt go to the doc. til mid jan. and i skied a few times on it torn along wiht my miniscus shredded and my mcl screwed up.....................

i read in ski magazine a few years ago that you dont actually need a good acl to ski u just need one to stop a fall.........

Yeah I was skiing at a dry-slope yesterday and I dunno how it happened, but when I landed I really hurt my knee. I dunno, i was just right on top of it I guess, I got that horrible pop sound as well. I was worried it was my ACL, doc says it's fine, but im still worried cos I leave for my season in france in a month, and i dont want it to be vulnerable.
