Something you didn't consider
Well, maybe you did, but I didn't read your whole post cause it got too gay after the first couple paragraphs.
My point: Compare how Professional Snowboarders there are to Professional Skiers. There's a huge difference, sure there are loads of really good skiers out there but they don't have the time to film all the time because there aren't enough ski companies out there that can pay them to ski full time.
Snowboarding is huge, that's how it is right now, there's lots of money in the industry so they can pay pro boarders to go out and film all the time. But with skiers, there are way less that are living there life with just skiing, most of them are considered a pro but skiing is not actually their profession, they have jobs, and many have futures outside skiing, they certainly don't have time to go and ski every day. But, they do have incredible talent so the companies that want them in their movies go out and film them when there's the chance so they can give them a spot in their movie.
Right now, freeride skiing is small, there aren't too many skiers out there that are jibbing and hitting backcountry booters for a living. There's money in Freestyle Skiing like moguls and aerials, there's money in racing, and there's even some money in big mountain, but when it comes to jibbing, there's not much money.
You can't expect too much when people are scraping the bottom of the barrel, when skiing grows over the years and there are more athletes and when there's more time, then you can compare snowboarding to skiing. But until then, sit back and wait because there's nothing you can do to change it.
