The company I work for, Brighter Planet, is hosting a video contest on Vimeo.com under the theme "Climate Matters - Inspire Your Next President.' First prize is $3000! There's also a raffle for an HD camera.
The contest's mission is to galvanize the creative energy of
individuals across the country, to spur on Washington to pass
meaningful climate legislation. We've built an impressive coalition of
environmental non-for-profits and broadcasts partners, including 1Sky,
Huffington Post, LinkTV, FSTV, Think.MTV. Its a great opportunity for
filmakers to get some publicity and have their work seen. Contestants
are eligible to win thousands of dollars on Brighter Planet gift cards
(redeemable anywhere). The top ten videos will be broadcast to over 50
million homes and shown to the media, members of Congress, and both
presidential campaigns at event in Washington in October.
