Deadbolt 6-14's right for me?

Alright
5'6
120 pounds
East coast skier, mostly park
Im interested in buying 4Frnt Deadbolt 6-14 bindings. Let's say buying the 4-12's aren't an option.
This year:
I rode my 06/07 scratch 120 bindings at approx 6.5-7 din.
I broke the brake twice, and one time the whole binding came off.
Are the 4Frnt Deadbolt 6-14's right for me or no?
If the 4-12's would be better/safer/whatever please say so, but i have a chance to buy 4-16's.

^dont think bootsole matters.. but hes a very agressie park skiier and when it sows, he gets agressive in the clades/ decent sized cliffs...
i think they would be a pretty good match. as long as your DIN is somewhere in the range of the bindings capability, then youre good. and if you're somewhere on the lowered of the bindings DIN, all the harder it will be to break them...

Funny how people love Tyrolia now that 4FRNT put their name on it...

boot sole does matter, din can't be calculated accuratly without it. the larger the boot the lower the din,

dude you have no need to go for the 614 over the 412. you will be getting nothing out of that other than a more expensive/heavy binding considering you weigh only 120 and have a (assuming) 306mm boot sole. recommended din for your ability weight and size would be im guessing something between 5.5-6.5 if you really are agressive.

I agree with the above post. Buy buying 614's, you are really just buying into a heaver, possibly stronger binding, although i'd like to imagine that they arent much more than the 412's durability wise.
And i think you will like the Deadbolts if you decide to get them. I've only ridden them a few times, but i felt very comfortable in them when i did. They had consistent releases and felt like a pretty solid connection between the boot and ski.

i havent heard much about the new deadbolts since they moved to tyrolia so im not quite sure about differences in durability/weight between their models but as usually higher dins are slightly heavy and possibly more durable we'll go with that thinking. i think tht if u gain a lil weight n want a bombproof binding for ur weight n skiing style then the 614s will work n if u ride it at a lower din like u said 7 then tht will also help durability by theory right cuz the spring wont have as much tension. some might say its overkill since u ride at a din half of the potential of the binding but since deadbolts are all the same price y not go up. on the other hand i ride at a din of 12 at 6' n 205 pounds so the 412s would probably b the ideal binding logically since youd b more in the middle range than the low end of the binding and might save you some weight but durability might suffer especially from jus hiking those intense willard rails all season haha. i dont think theres an advantage safety wise as long as you dont ride at a super high din beyond what would b good for u so its really if u would like the higher din range for the future n everything or would like the lighter weight of 412s which would b easier for all those rail tricks itd b up to you. but since u said u can only get the 614s then i would say y not. peace, greg

412s are perfect for you, for most of your stuff you will be in 5-6 range, and if you are skiing SUPER agressive than maybe 8 at the very most. you will never go above 12 at your size/weight.

A 6 on the 412 is the same as a 6 on the 614. What you need to figure out is it worth it to spend the extra whatever the get the higherdin and the better materials associated with it. I have no first hand experience with the new deadbolts but i do know the philosophy with the old ones was that the construction was the same for all din models as well as price. The only difference was the price. I dont know if this was carried over.
