I have a white 1st generation Macbook.  Came out two years ago.  The battery needs to be replaced and as of yesterday it won't wake up from sleep mode, but I'm assuming that is fixable.  I'd love to get it off my hands actually.

i dont think its much of a difference. the black i think has 80 gigs and the white has 60. so maybe you're paying for a little better performance, but mostly because of the color, people will pay more for the color they want

Wrong. The white Macbook only has 160gb hard drive while the Black one has 250GB. Personally I think the Black Macbook is way better then the white one and it doesn't get as dirty as the white one. I have a Black one but it'd take a lot for me too sell it.

You can add more hard drive to equal the black macbook for $100, so you are paying an extra $100 for the black color macbook indeed (1299 vs 1499).

i talked to a guy at the apple store and he personally said its like 400 more, only half is really devoted to making it a bettter computer. 200 dollars for the paint job. and personally i think the white is way more baller. if you really want a bettter computer, then its worth it to just get a PRO
