so when i was 7 years old, i was skiing with my dad and he was skiing backwards infront of me, and he told me to turn left but i turned right right into his ski, and i did the splits while rotating my right leg. i got a spiral fracture on my femur(broken leg for noobs who need to be pwnd). i was brought to the er, and since it was so bad, they couldnt just use a cast and since i was still growing they couldnt put a bar in my leg or else my leg wouldnt grow anymore. so they had to get something called an external fixator and put it on my leg... it looks like this except it was on my femur obviously.
and they completely knocked me out to do it, but when they were done i got to go home, and like 4 weeks later we went back to check on it. and it turns out they put it on wrong and so we had to schedule for another surgery like a week later. and so they finally fixed and everthing was fine...but the recovery time should have been about 6-8 weeks, but it ended up lasting i think 11 weeks.
