Yes, every helmet *passes* the same test but that doesn't mean every helmet has the same protection value. This value they have to pass is the minimum protection value and not a maximal test. If they pass this they are fit to be sold as a protective garment. There are definitely varying levels of protection within ski helmets, not all are on an equal playing level. But in saying that every helmet that passes the standards are passable to ski in but not necessarily as safe as certain other brands and models.
