Buying a vid cam off ebay with no warranty

what do you do in this situation?
I'm looking to buy a used dvx this fall from ebay
most do not come with warranties. so i'll probably be buying one without a warranty.

buy a squaretrade warranty with a used electronic item if the sale is covered by their policy. they are legit.

none of the dvx's i'm trying are eligible for warranty on squaretrade
