Cristiano ronaldo is overated

hes really good. but their calling him the best footballer in the world on espn which is bullshit unless ronaldinho is getting old, c ronaldo is fast  but he doesnt have the shot that ronaldinho or zidane or stoichkov had. Hes exiting to watch but hes not on par with ronaldinho unless ronaldinho is really old now or something i dont know.

Ronaldinho sucked this season, al least compared to last year and the year before that.

today's soccer players only stay good for a few years untill someone catches up on them...

Ronaldinho has had a rough ride since the World Cup. I hate to admit it but no one has stepped up like CR7 this year. His closest competitor would be Messi but he's been injury plagued this season.

yeah i dont know if he is necessarily the best but i certainly like watching him cuz he has such fast feet.  he moves like 5 times as fast as i could and does some pretty filthy moves.  but yeah ronaldinho is fucking amazing too.

And if anyone is amazed by Ronaldo now, you should have seen him a few years ago. When he first came on to the scene, he wasn't scared of shit. That's when he was really great to watch.

From what ive heard on espn during the euro tournament, they never said that hes the best, but hes ONE of the best footballers. Ronaldinho isnt as magical as he used to be. CR will pass him up eventually

ya cristiano is definetly over rated, hes definetly not the best (messi is), he like other men, and over all hes just a dick (ex. him and rooney interaction in the 06 world cup)...but bottom line i just hate him and he likes men

c ronaldo is certainly one of the best footballers of this current young generation, but he is not currently the best. i do prefer messi for sure, and of course ronaldinho is irreplaceable. love him.

other than that c ronaldo is a hot tempered little euro tramp. i dont like his bad attitude.

for every highlight reel play they show u on the aftershows, they forget to point out that he fucks up the whole teams offensive buildup by screwing up a pretty run. if i was a defenseman i would fuckin hate ronaldo.

Christiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world at the moment. It is hard to argue about that. If you look at his performance in the Premiership and the Champions League this past season it is not an exaggeration to call him the world´s best player. To score 50 goals in a season, AS A MIDFIELDER, and be voted as the best player in the Premiership with such a large majority is something few players can accomplish.

Please present a player who performed better this past season.

All this beeing said. I hate him as much as any other guy. I mean just look at his haircut. It is the worst piece of eurotrash haircut there is.

Sergio Ramos got owned by that cunt Ibrahimovic. He constantly runs forward, thus he is constantly getting beat in back. He needs to stay home.

My votes go to Lukas Podolski (carrying Germany) and David Villa (simply amazing, no one could have predicted this)



And the thread creator, you have no clue what you are talking about. A soccer player isn't great just because he can score goals, or he has speed, fancy footwork etc. They score crucial goals and carry their squads.

Did you see Portugal's second game? Ronaldo scored the game winner, and had the chance to pad his stats on a breakaway late in the game, but passed the ball to a wide open Quaresma to seal it off. That shows maturity and class.

I'm with ^^^Scandinavia on this one. Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world.

c ronaldo trys a flashy move every time he toches the ball and it works sometimes but if he just played simple he would be way more efective
i loved ronaldinho until the world cup cuz he didnt do shit
and messi never passes

Ramos is probably the best RB in the world and Ruud one of the best strikers. I think you're wrong in saying they've been the most impressive thus far though.

People, please stop saying Ronaldo is a midfielder. He bottled it in the CL (as he does in most big games). I still think Messi is the best, if only he hadn't been injured all season.
