So I'm making some brownies (not special brownies) and it says I need to add vegetable oil. I can't find any vegetable oil. Can I just use olive oil instead? Obviously I know jack shit about baking, so any help would be appreciated.
Yep. You can use olive oil instead. It won't make a difference, I make a lot of brownies, and sometimes I use olive oil, vegetable, canola, sunflower, whatever is there. You can also substitute butter or margarine, just melt it to the same quantity as the oil was supposed to be.
There ya go, I never even bother to melt it, I know there is some out of the tub conversion but melting is easier than research.
