Peace Pipe Jam at Mount Snow, May 25

ATTENTION PARK RATS: The Park Rangers will be hosting the Memorial Day Peace Pipe Jam on Sunday, May 25 at the bottom of the Gut Superpipe. Practice starts at 10am, with a laid back, jam-style competition starting at noon. The Rangers will devise a few interesting rail setups, and maybe some junk-jibs. There'll be a BBQ, music, prizes for best tricks and there's absolutely no entry fee. Summer may be here, but we've still got snow on the brain. Check the live cam at the bottom of The Gut, you'll see we've still got PLENTY of snow to pull this off. See ya there.

Take that TWA!  ye of little faith, thinking that MS would run out of snow.  And I saw you there a few times too, so you should realize that MS actually focuses some of its effort on freestyle, unlike Killington.

sorry dude, my post did come out harsher than I had meant.  I guess I'm grumpy thinking about this rail jam and being out with an injury.  I agree that rain and fog kill a snowpack like no other, but sheer quantity certainly help.  .Do you mean a specific course on snow science or a an avy course?

This is what I got from them:

Join us this Sunday May 24th for the Peace Pipe Jam II. We've pushed the last remaining snow into a big pile at the bottom of Inferno for a fun filled afternoon of rail jibbing.

Gaitor has created a new rail set - the stairs from the old deck at Carinthia and these will be unveiled Sunday. A few other features will be out there as well.

On the deck we'll have a BBQ, tunes, the mini-skate ramp and some other parking lot skate features for some fun.

Smith Optics and Invasion Snowboard Shop will also be on site with some goodies for you to check out.

Free for all to attend you just need to sign a form to hit the steel.

Remember Season Pass Deadline is right around the corner! June 1st is our first deadline. Don't miss out on all the perks including subscriptions to Transworld or Skiing magazines, 4-$50 passes for friends, and more.

yeah. Its one of the old stairsets. pretty dope. They took out the middle rail and put topsheet down on it. Looks like a 15 ish, not sure though

I filmed a little bit with someone elses camera and I have the tape, but I don't currently have a camera to capture the footage on. When I find a camera I'll throw together a short edit

ya it wasnt everything i expected, the rails could of ben longer and they could of had more stuff too. But at least they still put something on. i wasnt complaining, all i had to do is drive like 45 min. and i was there hitting rails and it was still super fun.

they'll probably have snow. but if u want to do the extra 20-30 min. drive u can head to stratton at the sunbowl. they still have a crazy amount of snow left over from the half pipe and quarter pipe and they have a bunch of pvc pipes at the bottom that u can probably set up as well as a booter.

IT really wasn't bad at all. The down box was pretty long. The box and the stairset were on the same takeoff all the way across, nice mellow urban.

They had a little booter goin better than that ghetto thing we were flippin at stowe

The stairset is a little short, but it was set up really nice, rode smooth.



Everyone was killin it to. So I don't know if stowe was that much better, The level of riding at snow was pretty sick


both were fun though
