Jib_This, I find it hard to believe that you seriously think there is no difference in quality between a 16mm shot and a digi shot. Most PBP movies have a few digi shots in them, and you can spot them very easily. However, as DV camera quality increases, the difference is becoming harder to tell. This is especially apparent with filmers who really know their digital equipment (Jeff Thomas, watch one of his flicks). It will be a while before it is nigh impossible to tell the difference between 16mm and digi.
What I guess I am trying to also get at is that the shots in Gwyne (I've only seen the trailer mind you) are most definatly NOT 16mm. I do agree that they look closer to Super8 than 16mm, but this is probably just due to the large amount of Grey sky shots and Super8's 'washed out' look after it has been processed.
