Powerball question

how many possible combinations are there for the powerball? and if theyre two dollars a ticket why doesnt someone simply buy as many tickets as it takes to have every single different combination ensuring you win?

well, you could have every combo of like six 2 digit. numbas. theres like 20000000 combos. way more spens than what youd actually win. especially after taxes.

well, the odds are 1:146,107,962
and at $2 a piece that would be $292,215,924
currently (in VT) the jackpot is $117,800,000
so you would loose over $150,000,000
and somehow you would need to come up with $292,215,924

mega million is only a dollar i think in like 12 states on the east coast.

You can buy every number, and win money if the jackpot is big enough. You are taking a huge risk, because if you are not the only person to win, then you will not win the whole jackpot.
