How to hit switch?

i want to learn how to hit switch off bigger jumps so i can learn some totally new tricks but everytime time i do I squirrel out any suggestions for how to approach this problem????

do some research before you make a thread and wait more then 2 minutes to get a  response.  Try hitting rollers at speed and doing switch 1s to get used to the speed you will need for a bigger jump.  Also try rotate once you are in the air not as you are going off the jump if you are only doing a 1.

that kind of voids the idea of doing a switch trick....just get really good at skiing switch first and then try it off of smaller jumps and then progress to larger ones

its still switch just do a  late switch one.  Then once you are more comfortable you can try bigger spins.

haha i dunno why that made me laugh

but umm ya just progressively work up to bigger jumps.....and i get squirrley with sw 1's over big stuff so i just go straight to sw 5

come up with the right speed. looking over the shoulder you spin with. right at the lip carve a liitttle bit so you dont catch an edge.
oh and off the lip keep your weight over your toes your you will land backseat.

searchbar.... but incase you're searchbar inept...

just practice skiing switch a ton. like full runs, learning to really try to stagger your feet to open your field of vision. Get comfortable going fast not even hitting jumps, just skiing switch. When you start to bring your switch game to jumps, start small. If you can, try to ratchet up, going larger and larger, but not like just hitting the biggest shit you can for the fuck of it. Just start with just switch 180s to get comfortable hitting larger jumps switch. A key thing is also to be patient. You see a lot of people try to spin too early on a jump when taking off switch, and that can fuck you up pretty good, plus, it is a bad habbit.

If you're spins arent really too dialed, then I would pass on really spinning switch until you can synthesize  switch and spin technique.

that helped a lot fuckin post whore.  wait till you are at the top of the jump and then pop off your foot, you pop of your tails or nose, it will feel way wierd,  and other than that, you just gotta commit.

Uh its the truth, i learned how to hit jumps switch without knowing anything its all about practicing and learning on your own.

one other thing is a good kinda wide low stance, so your are really balanced and can get a good pop. and remember to pop before you start to spin so you dont catch your skis on the lip.

look at the back tip of your most forward ski, and watch it go off the lip. I tend to stay forwards on lips, but my switch skiing pals say watching your ski is key, keeps your sight straight and your shoulders square

make sure you have your switch skiing down pat before moving too jumps and spinning.

it's easier if you bend down a bit, and look over the shoulder you are most comfortable with.
just pop off and rotate like you normally do.
just make sure that you dont throw yourself down, but keep your body straight on the lip:)
