Popping off Rails
Ive been trying to learn 270's off for some time now and i just fail horribly because i cant seem to get the pop off the box/rail, and it usually ends in me eating shit. So any tips on how to pop off better?
u just gotta kinda keep practicing till u get it. only tip i can give u is jump when u get to the end. but for 270s maybe u should try them off of rails that are high off the ground so that u can just spin and not worry so much about popping
it helps to get grip if you scissor your feet
just kind of push your forward foot out a little bit on the ski's edge, and use that to pop off of
Hating on no poles is like getting head from a guy. It feels good until you look down and realize that you are a played out cliche user
ok thanks for the tips bu i have one more question which is eaiser. say i lead with my right foot, which would be easier a blind side 270 or a front 270?
start your rotation a bit before you come to the end of the rail. so if you were sliding a rail you'd start rotating your whole body (only about 45-50 degrees) before you pop and finish the spin. makes it a lot easier.
what's got two thumbs and doesn't care?
front 2 out
Don't ski Colorado, there's no snow here.
ok, yeah because ive been trying blind 270's and just couldn't make it happen, thanks again guys
front 2 fo sho. easier not to catch ur tips on the rail
o and i thought of one more tip. if ur comfortable going on switch then it makes front 2s easier cuz ur already spinning that way when u get on the rail if that makes any sense
frontside is easier to learn. it helps to point one ski tip down and the other tip up just as ur about to spin off the rail
makes it look a lot lamer too
If it aint gorilla it aint steeze
yeah any help on 270 ons?
ive heard hop like a nigga and spin but no help, i always end up sliding unnatural, pissin me off
Spin the other way.....

I would disagree. I would say most skiers do start their spin in one way or another. Cause when you scissor your skis to grip the rail you are basically starting to turn your body for the spin.
what ever way you naturally spin, landing switch shouldent be a big deal.
it really only matters what way you spin if your spinning onto rails. unless your comfortable sliding unnatural
new cru leader bitch.
bend your legs and fucking jump? That was hard.
popping off looks stupid in a frontside 270 i think, but you have to learn it or you wont get any bigger spins. bend your knees and jump. haha, just like you would on a lip of a jump but you should be more nurtal than on a jump so you can do switch ups too without popping forwards off the rail
spin 180 with ur body and just spin the last 90 with ur skis. youll be facing backwards but u just have to turn around. oh and if ur gunu ball urself switch up
