Ive been trying to learn 270's off for some time now and i just fail horribly because i cant seem to get the pop off the box/rail, and it usually ends in me eating shit. So any tips on how to pop off better?
u just gotta kinda keep practicing till u get it. only tip i can give u is jump when u get to the end. but for 270s maybe u should try them off of rails that are high off the ground so that u can just spin and not worry so much about popping
start your rotation a bit before you come to the end of the rail. so if you were sliding a rail you'd start rotating your whole body (only about 45-50 degrees) before you pop and finish the spin. makes it a lot easier.
popping off looks stupid in a frontside 270 i think, but you have to learn it or you wont get any bigger spins. bend your knees and jump. haha, just like you would on a lip of a jump but you should be more nurtal than on a jump so you can do switch ups too without popping forwards off the rail
