I think they can be pretty playfull around the mountain, i know that they'r stiffer then the guns but salomons have always seemed softer to me. i couldnt tell you about how well they hold up over time seeing as how this is my first season on them but they'r doing great so far. I dont know if youv ever ridden any volkl twintips but i would say these are softer then volkl's and stiffer then salomons if that helps at all.
yeah then definitly go for the 186's, they ski a bit short b/c of they'r huge tip and tail so the edge your laying down is probably only about 178cm in length or so. and for all mountain ridin including park i would say 2-3cm back from center but im not expert on that, just my personal preferance and i dont really know what kind of terrain your looking at.
