Switch ups on rails

ha did you just tell your self to search bar? I think thats a first

def get comfortable sliding unnatty first.  and have you tried switching up on boxes yet?  also, are you trying to learn frontside or blindside switch ups?

the natural way i spin is blindside so im thinkin that, but i dont know if that will be really hard

blindside are going to be easier to learn on boxes.  start out by just spinning on the box so that you do a complete 180 without jumping.  to do this, just keep looking over your shoulder when you get on and it will naturally continue your rotation.  once you get comfortable with this, start to hop midway through your rotation.  then just start hopping earlier and earlier until your entire 180 is done in the air.  after you've really mastered this then you should be able to take it to rails no problem.

I find blindsides to be a lot more fun than front side. So for a blinside, get onto the box and once you are locked on look over the shoulder that you want to spin.. tha tmeans look away from the box which is tough to do at first. Once your head is turned and you start spinning, JUMP and throw your right arm (if you are spinning right foot forward) into the diretion of your spin. It comes around a lot easier than you would think. (my first one ever I brought around to 360 sw up because I threw too hard) now if it is a kink box lean forward. Natural reaction is to lean too far backwards and fall awkwardly on your ass. Ride out, claim it hard(claiming is back for 08), and have fun.
