Has anyone else had this injury?

the other day @ jiminy i tried a cork 5 but landed back seat whele switch and basically was tomma hawking down the mountain a put out my left arm but all weight landed on it.... so i got back up after the crash and was like owww my arm hurts i think i dislocated my shoulder....i skied down to the lodged and felt my shoulder and a bone was popping out....i went to the hospitol got x-rays etc...
Dr. comes back and says you have fractured your shoulder separated your AC joint (color bone from shoulder) and tore some ligaments...i got to see the another Dr. monday and i guess i might need surgery...its not that painful just i have a hard time sleeping...i took my arm out even to type this...
i have a trip to whister Feb 16-24 and im really bummed that i probably wont be skiing any park :[
i know ski the powder its "WHISTLER" but i live in the east so i only ski park so thats what i like
im just wondering if anyone has done this before and how long it took them to recover because i really want to go skiing again soon and i dont want to have my trip to whistler taken away because of this stupid injury

you should be glad you were so lucky to only hurt your arm. last year i hurt my knee and couldnt even ski groomers and this year it already hurts again after backseating a 3 and rolling my knee.
hope youre better for the trip though.

if it doesnt hurt during normal activities and you can use it fine then ask ur doctor if surgery can wait till the season is over and if u can continue skiing park

Thats super rough. I would say let it heal before you get super gnarly but i rode motocross with a broken collar bone. Just gotta feel things out with your injury and see what kind of shit you can pull off.

i've seperated my ac joint before (first time was about 6 years ago) and it still bothers me to this day. as far as the fracture goes you don't want to mess around and hurt it even worse cause then you won't be able to throw a baseball 10 years from now ; ) i'm starting to face the long-term consequences of my actions from when i was younger and it's not fun...just keep that in mind but good luck!

well luckily its mr left arm (im right handed)
im so pissed also cause my fucking science teacher keeps giving me detentions for no reason whast so ever and they call my parents every 3 times and my dad says the next detention and hes not letting me go to whistler
as the injury goes it is feeling alot better
i was even playing GH last night im really hoping that i dont need surgery cause im probably gonna ski as soon as i want to just wont to rails jumps etc.
