how do you make a video smoothly transfer into slow motion, rather than just being full speed and then suddenly going to slow motion?

thats for the support.... i found it out, it was called variable speed changing or something. i was using FCE and it doesnt support it, so think about what you say before you post

I usually just cut where i want to slow it down and do it and it works fine...

you actually can do it, but i dont want to explain it and you probably wouldnt be able to understand it over the internet anyway.

nah im talking where it would gradually go from normal speed to slow motion, or from fast forward to slow motion but really smooth (think of a timelapse, there was one in realtime like this)

if you find the time to explain how to do it in FCE that would be cool (to the guy who said its possible)

you could slice your transition area in to several bits of video, and then make one play at 90% speed, the next one at 80% speed, the next at 70% and so on.

i found a plugin to FCE here if anybody wants it. it works pretty well, but u use it as a video filter so to change it you go under video effects
