Organize threads into archive?

An idea I just had was to possible organize the threads by year and once a year passes it goes into its own year into an archive. The epic threads (most views, and if a rating system comes into place, top rated) could go into their own section. Basically it would keep things a little more current. People should be able to access it from the searchbar, but it should specifically say what year it was made.
