There are serious percentage of swinging voters out there who make their choice on the day..whether you call that educated or not is something different all together..
The main issue I see is where people vote for a party but don't understand the implications of doing so e.g. when another minor party will get preference votes from it..Thats what made labor win the last election in Australia.
Unsure if your voting/political system is operated the same way, but it's certainly an issue where I am.
And the sign said long-haired freaky people need not apply,
So I tucked my hair up under my hat
And I went in to ask him why,
He said, "You look like a fine upstandin' young lad.
I think you'll do",
So I took off my hat and said, "Imagine that,
huh , me workin' for you."
Uninformed voters, such as a lot of people that voted for Bush.

99% of the time, the electoral college votes for whoever wins that state, sorry.
and i'd say educated not voting. because if they are uneducated, it doesn't matter. they can't skew the results, they might not vote for who you want them to, skewing YOUR results if you know what i mean. but since who the best candidate is is a matter of opinion, it doesn't matter. so i'm gonna say an educated person not voting is worse.
i know from other threads that i dont agree at all with your political opinions, but this i agree with....
the only part you showed discrimination/ stereotyping in is the "Christian Right" part, but that is a double bladed sword there are plenty of people who will vote for the democrat based solely on there misguided opinion that all Republicans are heartless people and dont care about schools. (trust me i know most of my extended family is this way)

(the great warren miller)
holy shit.. all you guys saying that un educated people voting would be worse need to think a bit more. if you want to live in a democracy EVERYONE gets the vote, not only a select few.
when voting, you vote for the person that best represents your ideals. its a personal thing. what is right for one might be wrong for another. there isn't one 'right' candidate, this is proved by that fact that there are so many debates. if there was only one candidate suitable for the job then there would be no debate. as I said earlier, an uneducated person isn't necessarily a stupid person, just like an educated person isn't necessarily smart. presumably paris hilton has had an education, yet I would venture to say she isn't the most intelligent person.
