i'm trying to buy something from this kid, (right here on ns wouldn't you know it!) and he's in vancouver and i'm on the east coast of the us. i just wanna know what precautions he should take in order to successfully ship this package to me. i don't wanna like get it lost in transit because he didn't do something with the shipping. i still wanna get it, but i just wanna know exactly what he should do in the situation (not that i don't trust him, i just want this fucking ipod and don't wanna lose like a buck fifteen).

its regular shipping procedure, he fills out a customs form to make sure whats in the box and make sure he sends it to you as a GIft so u wont have to pay duty or not as much duty

so for something like an ipod, are we talking like $15 for shipping or something? and will it just go to my house?

1) Avoid courier services (FedEx, DHL, etc), they will rape you with extra fees and boarder shit.
2)Ship via Canada Post or USPS with a tracking number and you'll be fine.
3)List the parcel as a gift.
4)Don't undervalue it on the customs slip, but don't put the full value either. The reason being the higher the declared value, the higher the chance of boarder fees. Undervalue the parcel and you risk the same thing by raising red flags (no one in customs is stupid enough to think the declared value of an ipod is 20 bucks).
I always follow those 4 steps and I've had nothing but good luck shipping cross the boarder.
