I had to buy a graphing calculator today for trig and it was $113! that is freaking insane and as i thought abotu it, they say that education is free, that is horse crap- we have all been buying crap for school since we were like 5 and it sucks ass- our government is a bunch of rich capitalist ass holes and we have to pay them to go to school, paper, pencils, calculators, pens, folders, computers, ink (for printers), all this butt crap so we can get a 'free education' horse crap i tell you!we have all been robbed by this capitalist nation!
-sorry if none of this makes sense but i have alot of things i would have rather spent $113 on than a dumb ass calculator i am going to use for like a year and i am pissed about it.

shorty t---shut the fuck up with your goddamn bitching. i still have my ti85 that i bought my sophomore year of high school....that was 7 years ago, and i still have it. i used it for half my classes in high school, more than half my classes in college, and i use it every day at my job. $100 is cheap shit when you realize how beneficial the thing is. besides, wait until you get to college and have to pay $500 a semester for books that you don't even use and get chump change (if you're lucky) when you go to sell them back.

i'm happy to have the opportunity to learn and become an educated and essential part of society- i was VENTING about having to spend the last of my money in my bank account because i won't start working again until after thankgiving when bear mountain opens again.-- i am over it.- i like my new calculator because it makes it easy to do my homework and stuff.

i ran out...my butt hurts (j/k)-- yay- negative dumbness- i feel special!but my calculator was only $100- i didn't have $150 to spend on it, and now i agree with sarah- i souldn't have started this thread but it's to late now so lets all just not reply to it anymore and let it fall into obscurity at the bottom of the list- and i wasn't trying to defend myself i was just stating my position butt head.

All I have to say to anyone bitching about spending money on anything educational is to go spend some time in Ghana or somewheres in Western Africa. It will completely let you see all of the things you take for granted, and that's not just calculators.
