why do the nicest, most genuine people have to die so young? one of m really close friends moms died friday. she was the most amazing, honest, and wonderful person ive ever met. everything she did was fot someone else. even when she died (of cancer) she had everyone know not to send her flowers, to jsut give the $ to charity. she was only 41, woth all of her life to live. this is one f the most tragic things that ive gone through in a while. do any of you have any suggestions as t what to say to my friend?

I just had a really similar experience. You shouldn't really say anything. Just let him know that you're there for him if he ever needs anything (especially to talk). I don't mean verbally remind him every five minutes, but just be there for him, you know? That's probably the best thing you can do

I know how you are feeling, father's best friend is in the hospital right now with cancer. He is the nicest person I have ever and ever will know. He doesn't deserve it at all. He survived cancer 3 years ago, he had to have his tongue removed, they said he would never speak or eat again. He did both. He has a 7 year old son who he loves more than anything else, he has gone to great extends for that boy's well-being... he's been on American's Most Wanted twice for kidnapping his son from his abusive ex-wife. They recently found cancer again, so far they have found it in his throat, jaw, upper palate, and something I am forgeting. They have removed his jaw, he has had 5 emergency surgeries within the past three days. The doctors say they don't beleive he is going to make it, but I went to visit him Saturday and he was in very high spirits, and it wasn't the morphine talking when he wrote to me, 'I'll win.'

He also wrote 'Morphine is GREAT' and 'It's getting harder and harder... *pause* to get a date!' He's the coolest.

It's truly terrible what these innocent people have to deal with, I just realize what I take for granted and wish I could take away all their pain and put it on myself because I know I deserve it a hell of a lot more than they do. It's just so unfair.

it's horrible I know.

But the only thing certain in life, is death.
No matter who we are, how much money we possess, we all die.
I know it's hard sometimes.. especially when it hits close to hime.

Understand that there is not much we can do about it. We must learn to accept it.

a year ago, my best friends mom died. She was 39 and died of breast cancer. Nicest lady I knew. She had had cancer for a few years, and they couldnt get rid of it, they even went over to France to recieve this new medication, but nothing worked. it was the worst, but the family and everyone has gotton over it. he dad is engaged now too. RIP

ya dude i know what your going throught to my bestfriends dad died when he was 45 from cancer he was the coolest guy ever he got us everything we wanted when we went places he would take use everywhere on vacation he was an awsome guy he game over a million dollars a year to charaty he was amazing and it was sad to see him go i think i was depressed for atleast 3 months

hrm people seem to take death a lot more seriously than me. i think i am emotionally dead when it comes to death. i dont feel anything. i mean my aunt died last year...i didnt cry...i thought...'gee that sucks, my mom is going to be sad' but i wasnt sad or anything...i wasnt happy either...it just didnt effect me.

everyone is going to die anyway. i mean thats just what happens. its inevitable.
