I love my Bacons, and since I haven't had any pow yet I've ridden them on groomers :( They still rip like a motherfucker. I would recommend against Seths, but not because they aren't an awesome ski. Seths are a do it ALL ski, like pow, park, groomers, everything. So they are good at everything, while not epic at anything. I haven't ridden thugs but they are a tad stiffer than Bacons so they will charge harder but not be as buttery/fun.
Here's a l ist of skis you could potentially buy
Bacon, EP Pro
Steeze (or Raven), Thugs, Gotamas (very stiff)
other pow skis:
JP vs. Juliens, more of a traditional ski, very light, not a lot of sidecut
4FRNT VCT, haven't seen them in person but almost got a pair
Moment Ruby, look fuckin ill and I know a kid who likes his.
I like my Bacons a lot and haven't even skied them in pow so that's a plus. I have Jesters on my Bacons if it makes any difference, pretty light ski.
Just thinking...if you got JP vs juliers and mounted them with Jesters they would be soooo fuckin light.
Hope that helps, if you describe more about the type of pow you wanna rip that would help..ie. Booters, cliffs, jibbing, charging steep open lines.... etc. etc.
