Im just wondering because like you all know, once you eneter highschool they start averaging your mark( well in ontario atleast) and i was wondering when applying for a universities do they really concentrate on your overall average? Im wondering this because some of my subjects rreeaallyy bring down my grade.
for example on my midterm report card
i got
75%(geography)
77%(french)
80%(english)
36%(religion)
this averaged out to a 67% because of religion, if i got the schoolboard average( 75%) i would have gotten a 76% or if i just dont count my religion mark i would have got 77.3. Both big differences. Its just Religion and the elective that always bring down my mark and unfortunatley being in a catholic school i have to take religion until grade 12( and no i cannot switch schools). I do so bad because i just dont give a shit about religion class( but i do very much care about my religion) i just dont want to do the work and i always get dick head teachers and we just dissagree( mostly because they are very religious and i am not) and i just dont do the work, i know i should suck it up and do it but i cant!! i just cant, i always have them last period and by that time i just want to go home so i dont do anything in class.
long story short, do universities concentarte alot on averages or individual grades.
