^ are you one of those assholes that wastes a bootfitters time only to get on the net and buy the boot for cheaper..

If anything you should let the fitter know that is your intention and buy him a case of beer or give him $20 or something.
I fucking hate when people do that, it's seriously bad form.

In my shop when people do that to me and they act like dicks about it, i'll write down the wrong boot and wrong size for them. But if they are nice about it and tell me straight up that they are going to buy the boot on the interweb then i'ts ok.

NO, but i was a bootfitter who would get pro deals and then when I stopped being a bootfitter I decided that paying retail was a waste of time.

Im pretty sure you dont get paid commision, so I dont see why it matters at all. I could give a fuck. Never had a problem meeting any weekly or monthly goals at all... so fuck em, take what you can get!

oh and ski binders are the same as snowboard bindings, spend the money and get a binder that will last a while.

Yes, really. I got a pair of Salomon S810s in a package with my PEs and they have had to go in for warranty once and today the brake just exploded for teh 2178th time.

Ignore him, he's being a douche, those skis are swell and you'll do just fine on them.

yeah seriously i skied on my pes when i was 120 lbs and was fine with em. its not too hard to learn park on them, and if you've been snowboarding for a while it will be quick to get the hang of. hope you like them!

yeah, so for boots, ski boots are alot different than snowboard boots.  snowboard boots are somewhat similar to shoes in that, for the most part, no matter what model of boot you get as long as you get the right size, the boot will fit because it is softer etc.  on a ski boot, you have to get a ski boot that has a shape to match your foot. the plastic on the boot doesnt exactly stretch flex and bend to fit your foot much like a snowboard boot.

go see a bootfitter...

bindings...i would personally reccomend some rossignol scratch 120 or scratch 140 bindings depending upon how soon you plan on buying new gear, but if your like me and what to use it as long as possible, i would say get the 140 because it has a higher DIN(retention settings that hold you into the binding, lower = easier for ski to come off, higher = harder for ski to come off) so that as you get better and your DIN goes up you dont have to go get new binders just because your out of your DIN range
