Shipping and Duty
Ok, well i have been wondering about this, i live in Canada and if i were to buy something from the US, is there any way to get out of paying duty and taxes and how do they know what your shipping at the border and what you payed for it if its not from a company...
I ordered a pair of $199 US bindings and recieved a bill for duties and taxes of $35 when shipped with DHL from Proctorjones.
"I'd marry skiing, but it's playing hard to get"
yah if you get the person that is shipping to label the package as a gift they wont charge you duty
when i shipped to Ca i did the gift thing... i dont know if you can convince a well known retailer to do the same though
ok, how do they label it is a gift, so if you buy from a compnay your most likely going to have to pay duty
he he he... ...you said doody
You could always get it shipped to a mate in the US (Heaps of companies will offer free shipping to the lower 48 with purchases over a certain amount) and then get him/her to send it to you as a gift
All times are Eastern (-4)
